Nuevo Rico

Deux Wave Studio brought me on to animate a few 2D stings for the trailer for Kris Merc’s animated short film “Neuvo Rico” premier at the 2021 SXSW Film Festival. The shattering Puerto Rican flag, the knife game, and the character animation around the SXSW laurel were my contributions per the directors request. The Deux Wave team printed out and scanned the frames of the flag and knife spots to achieve the analog look. The short film won Best Animated Short.
